LIONS CLUB OF KASARAGOD 2022-23

 

                                                                                      LC KASARAGOD

 The largest service organisation in the world, spread across 210 countries, involved in various service activities including 'sight-first' which was originally inspired by Helen Keller's address to Lions. We also do programs for youth, disaster relief etc among other service activities.

Kasaragod has certain uniqueness which makes it a special district in the State of Kerala.
The place is a veritable meeting point of cultures and has the distinction of a large concentration of both religious and linguistic minorities. 

The geophysical features also make it distinct. The district has a rich agriculture base and has not much of industrial enterprises. The district however offers vast stretches of vacant and barren lands, which is rather an unusual sight in the State. The physical and social infrastructure have not advanced to the levels obtaining in other parts of the State. Nearly three decades after the district formation the developmental aspirations of the people remain largely unfulfilled  

The present initiative of the Government is to bring a strong development focus so as to bridge that gap between the aspirations and the actual development, which would also ameliorate and ease the prevailing social tensions.  

OUR MEMBERS 2022-23

Friends past presidents are our strength ,almost all our seniors past presidents are very active in Board of directors as well as in General Body meetings. They are actually leading the club and we wish that they will support and encourage us for this new lionist year too. we have many projects in our mind and we stand positively even during this pandemic situation to serve our community to our best.

As our moto says WE SERVE, we all serve together dear friends.

As part of Gandhi Jayanthi 2nd October 2021, our premise cleaning was carried out. A great job was done by the following members which was followed by Tea by our neighbour  

HUNGER RELIEF PROJECT

As part of Hunger Relief,We served food for around 500 needy people at General Hospital on 2nd October 2021

ANNAM AMRUTHAM

On the occasion of International Presidents Birthday Our district decided to Conduct Annam Amrutham food kit distribution to the needy family on 10th October 2021 which was inaugurated by Municipal Councilor Smt Veena Arun Shetty where we distributed 500 kits to the needy ones at our Lions Seva Mandir and 500 people were served at General hospital
